No, he didn't die. Tom Waits is fine, as far as I know or at least at the time this episode is being produced. I've had this episode on the back burner for a long time because Tom Waits is my favorite.

Favorite everything. He's a fuckin’ legend.
And, to be honest, I was holding on to it to release if or rather when he died, but fuck that. It's the Fourth of July 2025 and Tom Waits is an American Hero!
